This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Install, provide support for, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain Intuitive products within the designated territory.
• Meet service agreements and warranty commitments while surpassing customer expectations.
• Guide junior Field Service Engineers in maintenance, customer service, and administrative responsibilities.
• Execute regional administrative tasks effectively.
• Engage in new product launches and initiatives aimed at process enhancement.
• Serve as a senior technical authority on the da Vinci Surgical system across all platforms.
• Carry out scheduled maintenance tasks, including system inspections, preventive maintenance, software updates, recalls, field actions, and upgrades.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair Intuitive products and related equipment.
• Coordinate the delivery and installation of systems and hardware.
• Handle administrative responsibilities such as managing spare parts inventory, completing Field Activity Reports, Return Material Authorizations, and expense reports.
• Maintain company-issued tools, calibrated tool sets, employee vehicles, laptops, iPads, and other assets.
• Provide support to Intuitive teams through trade show assistance, customer phone support, and facilitating hospital contacts.
• Offer feedback to headquarters and engage in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Complete necessary equipment training, Intuitive Surgical University courses, and professional development programs.
• Oversee the assigned territory, addressing customer needs, system installation configurations, customer contacts, relationships, training, and events.
• Participate in new product introductions and regional process enhancement initiatives.
• Assist with service contract renewals.
• A university or college degree in science or technical engineering, or equivalent qualifications.
• Alternatively, possess 5 years of relevant work experience, or 3 years along with a Master’s degree, or a PhD without prior experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities in the local language(s) of the market and in English.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• In-depth technical knowledge of Intuitive Surgical products, acquired through experience.
• Proficient teaching and presentation skills.
• Strong administrative capabilities and meticulous record-keeping skills.
• Familiarity with Operating Room protocols is preferred.
• Proven history of building solid customer relationships with Surgeons and Hospital staff is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to independently troubleshoot intricate electro-mechanical systems.
• Willingness to travel 50–70%, depending on account distribution and region.
• Flexible remote work arrangement; employees work remotely and come onsite as requested by management.
