Field Service Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on wind turbines, which includes the repair and replacement of electronic components, motors, brushes, and associated parts.

• Conduct inspections and diagnostics on both internal and external turbine components.

• Determine root causes of reported issues and document findings to facilitate continuous improvement.

• Provide customer service solutions encompassing operations, SCADA systems, troubleshooting, and ongoing maintenance support.

• Serve as the primary point of contact between the customer and GE Vernova on site.

• Establish customer relationships and convey technical information effectively.

• Collaborate with ROC, sourcing, and engineering teams to address technical challenges at the site.

• Accurately complete technical reports, service records, and business documentation in a timely manner.

• Adhere to work instructions, regulatory requirements, and EHS standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• A diploma or degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Power Electronics, or Mechanical).

• A minimum of 4 years of field service experience in wind turbines or in wind project execution.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English for customer interactions and technical documentation.

• Capability to work efficiently with minimal direct supervision.

• Willingness and capacity to travel both domestically and internationally.

• Experience in onshore wind service operations is preferred.

• Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle is preferred.

• Experience with project planning tools like Microsoft Project or Primavera is preferred.

• Exposure to sourcing and supplier qualification processes is preferred.

• Experience with SQDC frameworks, quality audits, Kaizen, or PDR activities is preferred.
