
Field Service Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Execute timely and precise Preventative Maintenance across one or more equipment modalities
• Adhere to Field Modification Instructions and Instrument Service Information bulletins
• Collaborate with seasoned Field Engineers both onsite and remotely to acquire skills in troubleshooting, repair, and equipment installation techniques
• Support equipment installation efforts
• Conduct basic troubleshooting and service repairs on assigned equipment
• Communicate effectively with teammates, colleagues, and customers to guarantee issue resolution and follow-up
• Propose value-added services to clients
• Maintain logs of customer service and internal service records
• Order repair parts and oversee cycle times
• Utilize the GEHC escalation process and work in conjunction with regional and national support on corrective action plans
• Act as a member of the account community for key accounts
• Engage with commercial counterparts, identify sales leads, and partake in contract renewals and revenue programs
• Foster and enhance customer relationships and satisfaction
• Monitor competitive information and market trends
• Independently respond to service calls within one year of employment
• Adhere to GEHC quality, EHS, compliance, legal, and regulatory standards
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field; OR equivalent military education; OR participation in the formal GEHC Biomed/FE Services Internship or Military Externship program; OR High School Diploma/GED with 4 or more years of experience in servicing electronic equipment
• Familiarity with Web applications and Microsoft Office suite
• Must pass GEHC's standard background check, including a post-offer drug test
• Must adhere to customer access policies, including necessary immunizations and additional drug tests or background checks where required
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 35 lbs. without assistance
• Must frequently bend, stoop, twist, climb, crouch/squat, kneel/crawl, sit, and stand for extended periods
• Must reach at, above, and below shoulder level, flex/extend neck, and possess good hand and finger dexterity
• Specific vision capabilities may include color, close, distance, peripheral, and depth perception
• Must hold and maintain a valid Driver's License
• Willingness to be available after hours or work on a rotating on-call schedule, including weekends, as needed
• Must comply with GEHC quality, EHS, compliance, legal, and regulatory standards
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
