This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Execute intricate installations, preventative maintenance, and corrective repairs on GE Precision Healthcare equipment, which includes MRI, CT, X-ray, Ultrasound, and Nuclear Medicine systems.
• Identify and resolve complex technical issues by utilizing schematics, service manuals, diagnostic tools, and remote support systems.
• Deliver on-site technical assistance and training to clinical staff and customers.
• Oversee a designated service area, prioritize service requests, arrange appointments, and finalize service documentation.
• Keep an accurate inventory of parts and tools.
• Comply with GE Precision Healthcare quality standards, FDA and ISO regulations, and safety protocols.
• Work collaboratively with sales, applications, and engineering teams to address customer concerns and support product enhancement efforts.
• Engage in ongoing technical training and development initiatives.
• Ensure customer satisfaction through professional service and prompt resolution of inquiries.
• Complete service reports, timecards, expense reports, and customer feedback documentation.
• Associate's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent military experience.
• Bachelor's degree is preferred.
• A minimum of 2-5 years of experience in field service engineering, ideally with healthcare imaging or diagnostic equipment.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and repair complex electronic and mechanical systems.
• Strong knowledge of digital imaging technologies and networking principles.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
• Capability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in using service tools, testing equipment, and diagnostic software.
• A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required.
• Willingness to travel frequently within the assigned service area, including overnight stays as necessary.
• Ability to lift and transport heavy equipment up to 50 lbs and work in various clinical settings.
• Familiarity with healthcare industry regulatory compliance standards is advantageous.
