Field Service Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Conduct preventative maintenance, installations, troubleshooting, and repairs on imaging and various medical equipment within hospitals or healthcare systems.

• Take the lead in customer communications and serve as an escalation point for any customer-related issues.

• Manage customer concerns from the point of dispatch or identification through to resolution.

• Direct installations, validations, maintenance, and service repairs on assigned equipment.

• Foster customer relationships, ensuring effective communication, issue resolution, and follow-up to enhance satisfaction.

• Record all work performed on a daily basis, including debriefing, metrics, and parts ordering.

• Collaborate with customers and sales teams to suggest value-added services.

• Utilize GE HealthCare escalation processes and coordinate with regional and national support to execute corrective action plans.

• Support customers and service sales in achieving contract and on-demand revenue growth.


⛳️ Requirements

• Associate degree in a relevant field or equivalent military training with 4 years of experience in servicing electronic equipment, or a high school diploma/GED with 6 years of pertinent experience.

• Proficiency in imaging technology, including troubleshooting, repair, and installation.

• Possession of a valid driver's license.

• Familiarity with web applications and Microsoft Suite products.

• Legal authorization to work in the United States.

• Employment visa sponsorship is currently unavailable and will not be offered in the future.

• Willingness to be available after hours and/or participate in a rotating on-call schedule, including weekends.

• Capability to handle multiple competing priorities while ensuring customer satisfaction.

• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 35 lbs. without assistance.

• Proficiency in frequently bending, stooping, twisting, climbing, crouching/squatting, kneeling/crawling, sitting, and standing for extended periods.

• Ability to reach at, above, and below shoulder level; flex/extend neck; and maintain good hand and finger dexterity.

• Employment offer is contingent upon successful completion of a drug screening, where applicable.

• Some customers may have vaccination requirements.
