Field Service Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.

📋 Description

• Conduct preventative maintenance, installations, troubleshooting, and repairs on Anesthesia, Maternal Infant Care, and Diagnostic Cardiology medical devices.

• Service medical equipment within hospitals or healthcare systems to guarantee the effective delivery of healthcare services.

• Foster and maintain customer relationships.

• Promptly communicate with customers and resolve issues with appropriate follow-up.

• Comply with company policies, procedures, hospital protocols, regulatory requirements, and compliance standards.

• Record all work completed, including parts orders.

⛳️ Requirements

• Associate degree, Bachelor’s degree, military education, participation in the formal GE Healthcare Biomedical or Field Engineer Services Internship or Military Externship program; OR High School Diploma/GED with over 4 years of experience in servicing electronic equipment.

• Valid driver's license.

• Legal authorization to work in the United States.

• Must successfully pass GEHC’s standard background check, including a post-offer drug test.

• Must adhere to customer access policies, including required immunizations and additional drug tests or background checks when necessary.

• Experience in Anesthesia, Maternal Infant Care, and Diagnostic Cardiology is advantageous.

• Capability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 35 lbs. without assistance.

• Ability to frequently bend, stoop, twist, climb, crouch, squat, kneel, crawl, sit, and stand for extended periods.

• Competence to reach at, above, and below shoulder level; flex and extend neck; and demonstrate good hand and finger dexterity.

• Willingness to work after-hours and/or participate in rotating on-call schedules, including weekends.
