Field Service Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Execute timely and precise preventative maintenance on medical devices within hospitals or healthcare systems.

• Diagnose and conduct basic service repairs on client equipment.

• Aid seasoned field engineers with the installation of equipment and intricate repairs.

• Provide support to more experienced Field Engineers both onsite and remotely while acquiring knowledge on complex repairs.

• Collaborate with team members to devise suitable solutions for customers.

• Foster customer relationships through prompt communication, resolution, and follow-up.

• Adhere to company policies, procedures, and hospital protocols to comply with regulatory and compliance standards.

• Record all work conducted daily, including debriefing sessions and parts ordering.

• Suggest value-added services to customers and/or the sales team.

• Utilize the GEHC escalation process and work alongside regional and national support on corrective action initiatives.

• Enhance customer satisfaction through Service Excellence.


⛳️ Requirements

• Associate degree in a related field or equivalent military education with 2 years of experience in servicing electronic equipment.

• Alternatively, a high school diploma/GED with 4 years of pertinent experience.

• Or a graduate of the GEHC Apprentice Program.

• Must possess and maintain a valid Driver’s License.

• Familiarity with web applications and the Microsoft suite of products.

• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is mandatory.

• Employment visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future.

• Willingness to be available after hours and/or work a rotating on-call schedule, including weekends.

• Proven ability to manage multiple competing priorities while ensuring customer satisfaction.

• Capability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 35 lbs. without assistance.

• Ability to frequently bend, stoop, twist, climb, crouch/squat, kneel/crawl, sit, and stand for extended periods.

• Proficient in reaching at, above, and below shoulder level, flexing/extending the neck, and possessing good hand and finger dexterity.
