Field Service Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Carry out timely and precise preventative maintenance tasks.

• Independently execute equipment installations, testing, documentation, and customer handoff procedures for X-Ray and Ultrasound systems.

• Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance and installation tasks within specified modalities.

• Communicate effectively and collaborate with team members, colleagues, and clients.

• Ensure proper follow-up with customers to guarantee satisfaction.

• Suggest value-added services to enhance customer operational efficiency.

• Maintain customer service logs and internal service records promptly.

• Act as a member of the account community for key accounts.

• Engage with commercial counterparts, identify potential sales opportunities, participate in contract renewals, and support revenue initiatives.

• Develop and strengthen customer relationships to establish GE HealthCare as a trusted partner.

• Monitor competitive information and market trends.

⛳️ Requirements

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field; OR equivalent military education; OR completion of the formal GEHC Biomed/FE Services Internship or Military Externship program; OR High School Diploma/GED with 4 or more years of experience in servicing electronic equipment.

• Familiarity with web applications and the Microsoft Suite of products.

• Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License.

• Willingness to work flexible hours, including the possibility of evenings or weekends.

• Must adhere to GEHC's standard background check, which includes a post-offer drug test.

• Must comply with customer access policies, including necessary immunizations and additional drug testing or background checks when applicable.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; employment visa sponsorship is not available.

• Capability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 35 lbs. without assistance.

• Ability to frequently bend, stoop, twist, climb, crouch/squat, kneel/crawl, sit, and stand for extended periods.

• Proficiency in reaching at, above, and below shoulder level, flexing/extending the neck, and demonstrating good hand and finger dexterity.

• Specific vision requirements may include color, close, distance, peripheral, and depth perception.

• Preferred: technical skills in XR/UL PM.
