This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Set up, manage, maintain, and enhance Leica Biosystems systems for customer demonstrations, training sessions, and workflow simulations
• Prepare, inspect, validate, and troubleshoot demonstration assets based on workshop priorities
• Oversee configuration, calibration, verification, upgrades, and readiness evaluations for equipment, accessories, and software
• Identify and resolve technical issues across platforms, electromechanical systems, software, and network-connected components
• Execute maintenance, repairs, modifications, and quality verification tasks in accordance with Leica Biosystems standards and relevant quality requirements
• Collaborate with workshop colleagues, sales teams, applications specialists, product experts, and service teams to provide dependable customer demonstrations
• Report directly to the Manager of the EDC Workshop within the EMEA Customer Excellence organization
• Provide support for the Commercial Workshop and the European Demonstration Centre located in Nussloch
• Travel for field service, visits to the Newcastle demo laboratory, customer demonstrations, training sessions, and cross-functional technical activities
• Experience in Biomedical or Engineering fields with an associate degree or equivalent technical work experience
• Preferred knowledge in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining Pathology instruments
• Strong technical troubleshooting skills across electromechanical and electronic systems, optics, platforms, and software
• Understanding of PC hardware, networking principles, firmware updates, software installations, and system connectivity
• Familiarity with Windows and Linux is preferred
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences and work collaboratively across international teams
• Proficiency in English and German languages
• Experience in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining pathology instruments or similar scientific and clinical instrumentation is advantageous
• Experience in a regulated environment with ISO, FDA, or similar quality standards is a plus
• Capability to work in a workshop and technical service setting, including safe handling, movement, and preparation of Leica Biosystems equipment
• Awareness of relevant quality, safety, and compliance standards applicable to medical device service, pathology systems, and workshop operations
