This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Iowa.
• Travel to hospitals, health systems, and other healthcare partners within the designated service area.
• Establish and nurture relationships with healthcare providers and partners in local communities.
• Install, maintain, and repair Siemens Healthineers imaging systems and selected third-party equipment.
• Acquire knowledge of imaging systems from a senior engineer during the initial year.
• Service MR, CT, Cath/Angio, Nuclear Medicine, fluoroscopy, and ultrasound systems.
• Conduct periodic maintenance inspections in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
• Perform initial calibration and certification for newly installed systems.
• Complete documentation for equipment installation, maintenance, services, and parts replacements.
• Collaborate with service and sales management to anticipate future service requirements.
• Manage parts inventory in line with company policy.
• Utilize a company-provided vehicle for travel to health facilities across the territory.
• Travel by air for occasional training at other sites, including some that may be international.
• Be available on call during designated intervals outside of regular business hours.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned or requested by the manager.
• Candidates must reside in the Davenport, IA or Bettendorf, IA area.
• A minimum of a two-year degree in electronics (Technical school or Associate's Degree) or equivalent experience is required.
• Experience in the medical imaging industry as a field service technician is preferred but not mandatory.
• Proficient use of hand tools and ability to perform mechanical tasks is essential.
• Capable of conveying technical information to non-technical audiences.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Keen attention to detail.
• Ability to operate effectively in a relatively unstructured environment with constantly shifting priorities.
• Must be able to handle chemicals and high voltage equipment safely.
• May be exposed to human body fluids or solids on equipment.
• Willingness to travel and stay overnight as required.
• A valid driver’s license and adherence to Fleet Policy are mandatory.
• Must possess or be open to obtaining a valid passport.
