This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Iowa.
• Visit hospitals, health systems, and other healthcare partners within the designated service area.
• Build and nurture relationships with healthcare providers and partners.
• Install, maintain, and repair Siemens Healthineers imaging systems along with select third-party equipment.
• Acquire knowledge about system intricacies from a senior engineer during the initial year.
• Provide service on MR, CT, Cath/Angio, Nuclear Med, fluoro, and ultrasound systems.
• Conduct periodic maintenance inspections following manufacturers’ specifications.
• Perform the initial calibration and certification of newly installed systems.
• Complete documentation for equipment installation, maintenance, service, and parts replacement.
• Collaborate with service and sales management to foresee future service requirements.
• Manage parts inventory in accordance with company policy.
• Travel using a company-provided vehicle to various health facilities throughout the area.
• Occasionally travel by airplane for training sessions, which may include locations outside the United States.
• Be available for on-call duties at predetermined intervals during non-business hours.
• Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned or required by the manager.
• Candidates must reside within the Iowa City, IA area.
• A minimum of a two-year degree in electronics (Technical school or Associates Degree) or equivalent experience is required.
• Field service experience in the medical imaging industry is preferred but not mandatory.
• Proficient in the use of hand tools and capable of performing mechanical tasks.
• Ability to convey technical information to non-technical audiences effectively.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• High attention to detail.
• Capability to work in a relatively unstructured environment where priorities may frequently change.
• Must be able to handle chemicals and high-voltage equipment.
• May encounter human body fluids or solids on equipment.
• Willingness to travel and stay overnight as necessary.
• A valid driver’s license and adherence to the Fleet Policy are required.
• Must possess, or be willing to obtain, a valid passport.
