This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Deliver efficient and effective field service assistance for BD Pyxis dispensing clients within the designated area
• Diagnose, service, repair, calibrate, install, and uphold BD Pyxis automated dispensing systems
• Offer remote troubleshooting and on-site technical assistance at healthcare facilities
• Oversee work orders from diagnosis to resolution, including documentation and escalation
• Implement preventive maintenance initiatives
• Provide training to customers
• Manage the inventory of service parts in accordance with company protocols
• Record service activities, expenses, and time allocation
• Ensure the security and upkeep of company vehicles, tools, inventory, and other assets
• Independently troubleshoot hardware and software issues while consulting team leadership on more complex problems
• Participate in ongoing product and application training and attend authorized seminars
• Stay informed about corporate procedures, customer complaint resolution, and Medical Device Reporting standards
• Associate Degree in Healthcare Technology or a related technical discipline, or 5-7 years of comparable work experience
• Proven experience in hardware/software/IT support for both proprietary and standard applications
• CompTIA A+ Certification is mandatory
• Customer Support Certification is required
• Demonstrated expertise in computer electronics, Windows OS, networking, and the service and repair of medical/electromechanical devices
• Availability for 24x7 on-call duties in a customer-facing environment
• Capacity to work with minimal supervision
• Ability to lift at least 70 pounds
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Proficiency in computer use
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Effective time management abilities
• Valid driver's license that meets BD's automotive safety criteria
• Documentation of complete immunizations, including Hepatitis B, Influenza, MMR, Varicella, annual TB/PPD testing, Tetanus/Diphtheria/Pertussis, and COVID-19
• Previous experience with Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) is preferred
• Previous military Bio-Med experience is a plus
• Experience or training in a customer support center is advantageous
• Background as a hospital pharmacy technician or in hospital Bio-Med is preferred
• Company vehicle provided
• 5% overnight travel may be required
