This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +2 more states.
• Deliver both remote and on-site technical assistance for BD automated dispensing systems within the designated region.
• Address, assess, prioritize, and resolve work orders in accordance with service-level expectations.
• Diagnose and repair proprietary hardware and software components while taking full ownership of each case.
• Troubleshoot intricate issues and escalate them to Senior or Lead FSEs as necessary.
• Implement preventive maintenance programs.
• Carry out installations, in-servicing, repairs, calibrations, and provide general technical support.
• Keep an accurate inventory of spare parts.
• Maintain the company-issued vehicle, tools, and equipment.
• Foster positive relationships with customers through professional communication and prompt support.
• Record service activities, expenses, and time logs using authorized tools.
• Collaborate with Sales and Implementation teams on deployments and enhancing customer experience.
• Adhere to complaint-handling and Medical Device Reporting procedures.
• Ensure that service documentation complies with regulatory and corporate standards.
• Maintain safety policies, quality expectations, and operational standards.
• Engage in continuous training and keep abreast of technologies, best practices, and system updates.
• Operate both independently and collaboratively to achieve service objectives.
• Assist leadership with escalations, advanced troubleshooting, and case resolution.
• 1–3 years of combined experience in hardware, software, and IT support.
• Eligibility to access Federal Government Facilities, including necessary background checks and identification badges.
• Strong skills in troubleshooting, diagnostics, and problem-solving.
• Excellent abilities in communication, customer service, and documentation.
• Capability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and travel as needed.
• Associate degree in a related field or 3+ years of Field Service or Technical Support experience.
• Experience in 24×7 on-call service is preferred.
• Preferred experience in the repair of medical or electromechanical devices.
• CompTIA A+ Certification or an equivalent qualification is preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude with the ability to disassemble and reassemble complex systems.
• Proficient with Windows OS, networking, and diagnostic tools.
• Ability to operate both powered and manual hand tools.
• Capable of frequently lifting 85 lbs and occasionally lifting 115 lbs, including overhead lifting.
• Ability to climb, kneel, crawl, reach, grasp, stand, and walk for extended durations.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet company driving standards.
• Daily car travel is necessary, along with occasional air travel and overnight stays.
• Support for government accounts requiring eligibility for a CAC (Common Access Card).
