Field Service Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Install and optimize hardware, software, network products, and configurations at customer locations

• Diagnose and resolve issues related to product performance

• Perform maintenance and repairs on equipment

• Provide guidance to customers on preventive maintenance and configurations that impact product performance

• Offer limited application support

• Proactively identify potential equipment issues to avert unplanned business disruptions

• Deliver coordinated solutions that involve peripherals, communications, operating systems, and application software

• Train field engineers and customers on solutions provided

• Act as an internal technical resource and address customer product concerns

• Collaborate with Support, Sales, Marketing, and R&D teams to develop customer solutions

• Conduct internal technical training, maintenance seminars, and workshops as required

• Calibrate equipment as necessary

• Qualify leads when necessary

• Cover the NJ, NY, and CT territory, requiring significant travel and on-site customer service

⛳️ Requirements

• Ideal candidate should reside in Central to Northern New Jersey; relocation is not available

• A valid and active driver's license is required

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience

• Familiarity with Agilent and Waters analytical instrumentation is necessary

• Specific experience with LC is required

• Knowledge of hand tools is essential

• Proven logical troubleshooting skills

• Ability to address high-impact, system- or solution-related product availability issues

• Strong focus on customer service and solutions

• Willingness to travel extensively, including overnight trips

• Up to 50% travel is required

• A Bachelor's, Master's, or other university degree in chemistry, biochemistry, analytical chemistry, or a related life science field is preferred

• A combination of education, training, and significant experience may also be considered

• Experience in Pharma/Bio-pharma, GMP, and GLP is preferred

• Knowledge of dissolution or spectroscopy is a plus

• Experience with Agilent solutions is desirable but not essential
