Field Service Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Assist customers with on-site installation, implementation, maintenance, and repair of both company and multi-vendor systems solutions.

• Install and optimize hardware, software, and network products along with configurations at customer locations.

• Identify and resolve issues related to product performance.

• Carry out maintenance tasks and repairs.

• Provide guidance to customers on preventive maintenance and configurations that may affect product performance.

• Anticipate potential equipment problems to avert unplanned disruptions in customers' operations.

• Deliver comprehensive integrated solutions, encompassing peripherals, communications, operating systems, and application software.

• Educate other field engineers and customers regarding the solutions.

• Operate in various laboratories while continuously updating knowledge on new instruments, software, and consumables.

• Manage a territory that includes Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, and Mississippi.

• Travel to customer locations 50% of the time.

⛳️ Requirements

• The ideal candidate MUST reside in the Atlanta area.

• A post-secondary degree in a science-related field, such as chemistry, analytical chemistry, biochemistry, biotechnology, or a comparable college degree with relevant work experience.

• A minimum of 4 years of experience working in a laboratory setting with spectroscopy.

• Proficiency in troubleshooting and problem-solving is essential.

• Familiarity with Agilent LCMS or GCMS is preferred but not mandatory.

• Clear, respectful, and timely verbal and written communication skills.

• A passion for traveling and visiting customers.

• Travel requirement stands at 50%.

• Availability to work a full-time weekly schedule.

• Day shift availability is required.
