Field Service Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Provide exceptional service across projects of low to medium complexity.

• Strategically plan and execute tasks with a strong emphasis on delivering results correctly on the first attempt.

• Foster trusted relationships with customers while responding promptly, professionally, and with a sense of ownership.

• Offer remote technical assistance to clients during standby hours.

• Collaborate with customers on-site to pinpoint operational improvements and eliminate challenges.

• Conduct field service activities and identify technical problems through both remote and on-site methods.

• Evaluate technical issues within service categories and products.

• Aid in the creation of material lists and ensure the availability and suitability of materials, parts, and equipment.

• Assist in the assembly of work packs, including risk assessments and method statements.

• Diagnose equipment and process failures.

• Suggest proactive corrective measures and recommend strategies to prevent future issues.

⛳️ Requirements

• Highly adept in electrical and mechanical engineering solutions, preferably within the marine and ports sector, though not mandatory.

• Ability to adapt to flexible schedules and be self-reliant in fieldwork.

• Experience in field services is essential.

• Familiarity with ABB products is advantageous.

• Willingness to operate in challenging environments, both domestically in the UK and internationally, including offshore locations.

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in electrical engineering and/or a proven professional history.

• Strong communication skills to engage with various stakeholders, including colleagues and clients.

• Proficiency in using the Microsoft Office suite, including Word and Excel.

• A valid driving license for use in the UK is required.
