Field Service Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Deliver exceptional service across projects of low to medium complexity.

• Adhere to ABB processes, quality standards, and safety protocols.

• Plan and implement tasks with a strong emphasis on achieving "first-time right" results.

• Cultivate reliable customer relationships, responding with urgency, professionalism, and accountability.

• Offer remote technical assistance to customers during standby periods.

• Collaborate with customers on-site to uncover operational improvement opportunities and resolve issues.

• Execute field service tasks and diagnose technical problems through either remote or on-site engagement.

• Compile material lists and ensure the availability and suitability of materials, parts, and equipment.

• Develop work packs, including risk assessments and method statements.

• Diagnose equipment/process failures, recommend proactive corrective measures, and suggest preventive enhancements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Expertise in electrical and mechanical engineering solutions; experience in the marine and ports sector is advantageous but not mandatory.

• Ability to adapt schedules and work independently in the field.

• Experience in field services; familiarity with ABB products is a plus.

• Willingness to operate in challenging environments both in the UK and internationally, onshore and offshore.

• Relevant tertiary qualification in electrical engineering or a proven professional track record.

• Strong communication skills with colleagues and customers.

• Competence in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel.

• Valid UK driving license required.
