Field Service Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and commissioning on LV and MV variable speed drives at customer locations throughout the UK.

• Commission new and upgraded drives.

• Execute routine technical maintenance in line with ABB’s tailored maintenance schedules.

• Carry out fault finding and repair tasks at customers’ sites.

• Engage in a 24/7 on-call system providing emergency support to ABB’s contract clients.

• Contribute to long-term projects that deliver upgrades and new systems within the UK and potentially offshore.

• Work collaboratively with technical support, project, and field service engineers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Technical training or experience in Electrical Engineering.

• Background in industrial settings.

• Highly motivated individual.

• Eagerness to learn and advance both in the classroom and on-site.

• Strong interpersonal skills.

• Experience in fault finding on electrical equipment.

• Previous experience with Variable Speed Drives.

• Background as a Field Service Engineer.

• Full UK driving license is mandatory.

• Home-based with travel primarily in the southern Midlands.

• Willingness to take part in a 24/7 on-call system.

• Openness to working on projects in the UK and potentially offshore.
