This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Conduct advanced troubleshooting and repair on designated equipment.
• Carry out installation, validation, and maintenance on assigned equipment.
• Mentor, instruct, and support less experienced Field Engineers; provide coaching and constructive feedback.
• Manage customer communications and act as an escalation point for customer-related issues, including installations.
• Take ownership of customer issues from dispatch or identification through to resolution.
• Collaborate with team members to keep updated on issue status.
• Lead and communicate initiatives at the HQ and Zone or Area level.
• Co-facilitate regular team or modality meetings.
• Suggest value-added services to enhance customer business efficiency.
• Maintain customer service logs and internal service documentation.
• Order repair parts and oversee cycle times.
• Utilize GEHC escalation processes and collaborate with regional and national support to develop corrective action plans.
• Partner with teammates and colleagues effectively.
• Act as a member and leader within account communities for key and designated accounts.
• Engage with commercial counterparts, identify sales leads, and participate in contract renewals and other sales opportunities.
• Promote and implement revenue-generating programs.
• Cultivate customer relationships and position oneself as a valued business partner.
• Monitor competitor information and market trends.
• Collaborate with Commercial Sales teams and region/zone leadership to foster business growth.
• Assist the Area Service Manager or Director of Service with strategies for growth and deployment.
• Provide application training to clinical or scientific staff on designated equipment as needed.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, coupled with 4+ years of experience in servicing electrical equipment; OR equivalent military education with 4+ years of experience in servicing electrical equipment; OR a High School Diploma/GED and 8+ years of experience in servicing electrical equipment.
• Proven experience interfacing with both internal teams and external customers as part of a solution-based service process.
• Demonstrated experience in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electromechanical, and/or electronic equipment.
• Experience in troubleshooting and addressing customer concerns.
• Familiarity with web applications as well as the Microsoft suite of products.
• Must pass GEHC's standard background check, including a post-offer drug test.
• Must adhere to customer access policies, which may require obtaining and/or providing proof of necessary immunizations and additional drug tests or background checks when applicable.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Employment visa sponsorship is not available.
• Capable of lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 35 lbs. without assistance.
• Frequently able to bend, stoop, twist, climb, crouch/squat, kneel/crawl.
