This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maine.
• Deliver on-site technical assistance for BD Pyxis automated dispensing systems at hospitals and healthcare facilities within the designated territory.
• Address, assess, and prioritize incoming work orders.
• Troubleshoot, maintain, and resolve proprietary hardware and software challenges.
• Take ownership of work orders and escalate issues to the team lead and manager as needed.
• Record, monitor, and document all work order activities.
• Provide comprehensive support for all products in the region.
• Implement a preventive maintenance program effectively.
• Offer limited cross-functional assistance to Sales and Implementation teams.
• Carry out installations, in-servicing, repairs, preventive maintenance, calibrations, and sales support activities.
• Ensure accurate small-parts inventory management while adhering to inventory-control policies.
• Engage in ongoing product and application training, attending approved seminars and training sessions.
• Maintain familiarity with corporate and service-department procedures, customer complaint resolution, and Medical Device Reporting protocols.
• Travel daily to customer locations across the Maine region.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 3 years of relevant experience combining Hardware/Software/IT support for both proprietary and standard applications.
• 24x7 on-call experience in a customer-facing or field service setting.
• Proficiency in computer electronics, Windows OS, and networking.
• Capability to operate within established processes and methodologies with minimal oversight.
• Valid driver's license and adherence to BD's automotive safety standards.
• Upon hire, provision of proof of and maintenance of current immunizations, including Hepatitis B, Influenza, MMR, Varicella, annual TB/PPD, Tetanus/Diphtheria/Pertussis, and COVID-19 as required by the facility.
• Minimum weightlifting capacity of 70 pounds.
• Ideal candidates should reside within a 30-mile radius of the base location.
• Preferred qualifications include prior experience as a hospital pharmacy technician or in hospital Bio-Med.
• Preferred: Associate's degree.
• Preferred: Previous military Bio-Med experience.
• Preferred: Experience with Automated Teller Machines (ATM).
• 5% overnight travel may be required.
