Field Service EHS Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Design, implement, and consistently enhance EHS programs for field service operations.

• Act as a safety leader and resource for field technicians, managers, contractors, and clients.

• Perform field audits, inspections, Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), risk assessments, and site safety evaluations.

• Assist in project planning and kickoff meetings to identify and address safety risks prior to the commencement of work.

• Investigate incidents, near misses, injuries, property damages, and unsafe conditions.

• Facilitate root cause analysis and formulate corrective and preventive measures.

• Create and deliver EHS training, onboarding sessions, toolbox talks, safety meetings, and safety communications.

• Oversee corrective actions and ensure accurate maintenance of EHS documentation and records.

• Generate safety metrics, reports, dashboards, and management updates.

• Aid in customer audits, contractor qualification programs, and safety assessments.

• Guarantee compliance with OSHA, NFPA 70E, EPA, DOT, customer specifications, and relevant regulations.

• Collaborate with leadership to foster accountability, safety awareness, and ongoing improvement.

• Work directly with field technicians, service managers, project teams, subcontractors, and customers in various environments.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety & health, EHS, Construction Management, or a related discipline preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.

• Over 5 years of experience in construction or field safety, including more than 3 years in mission-critical environments.

• Proven experience collaborating with field employees, contractors, general contractors, and customers.

• Extensive knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1910/1926 and hazard-control practices.

• Proficient in conducting field audits, inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations.

• Strong understanding of NFPA 70E, LOTO, Fall Protection, Confined Space, Hot Work, and electrical safety protocols.

• OSHA 30-Hour Construction Certification is mandatory.

• OSHA 500/510 certification is preferred.

• ASP, CSP, CHST, or other recognized safety certifications are preferred.

• CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications are required.

• Excellent leadership, coaching, communication, and problem-solving abilities.

• Capability to influence safety practices throughout an organization without direct authority.

• Comfortable working in construction sites, industrial facilities, and data centers.

• Willingness to travel up to 75% and work flexible hours, including occasional nights/weekends and emergency responses.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and wear necessary PPE.
