This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.
• Deliver effective FMC product suggestions to clients and business stakeholders.
• Expand FMC’s presence in South-Central Ohio.
• Oversee customer accounts and cultivate new prospects to market FMC products.
• Emphasize sales objectives, business growth, customer rapport, and addressing customer concerns.
• Formulate and implement account strategies while negotiating to achieve sales goals, factoring in margins and revenue.
• Establish robust customer business connections.
• Create sales presentations, call strategies, proposals, and reports.
• Gather and relay market data pertaining to sales volumes.
• Anticipate customer business plans and requirements.
• Collect and convey competitive practices and assist in evaluating competitive insights.
• Discover and cultivate new business prospects with both existing and prospective accounts.
• Facilitate connections between customers and technical as well as supply-chain resources.
• Recognize opportunities and take suitable actions.
• Coach and guide sales representatives in adjacent territories.
• Operate within a customer segmentation framework considering account financials.
• Collaborate with fellow sales professionals and corporate commercial teams.
• Report to and partner with the Regional Business Manager to meet regional and expense targets.
• Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Agriculture or a related Life Science along with 10+ years of relevant sales experience, or a High School Diploma with 13+ years of relevant sales experience.
• A minimum of 10 years in sales experience.
• Proficiency in making data-driven decisions utilizing CRM systems.
• Strong foundation in value selling and agronomic principles.
• Experience in facilitating and executing complex projects.
• Solid financial and business insight.
• Proven track record of generating new and existing business opportunities with key accounts, including national accounts, within a designated sales territory.
• Demonstrated capability to make decisions with minimal oversight and to navigate complex decisions within operational guidelines.
• Experience leveraging critical accounts to bolster national accounts.
• Ability to make independent judgments that require creativity.
• Proven negotiation skills with middle to senior management.
• Strong negotiation abilities with external stakeholders.
• Capacity to mentor and guide sales representatives in neighboring territories without a direct reporting relationship.
• Experience leading projects or special assignments that involve work outside the immediate area/region.
• Established history of making an immediate impact on sales within a specific territory.
• Ability to execute projects independently.
• Willingness to travel 50% of the time to fulfill service territory duties.
