This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +6 more states.
• Formulate and implement sales strategies for the territory to meet revenue, profit, and market share goals.
• Discover, cultivate, and finalize new business prospects across the Southeast region.
• Initiate and nurture relationships with new end users, system integrators, machine builders, distributors, and OEM partners.
• Enhance DENSO Robotics' footprint in key growth markets.
• Establish and sustain a comprehensive sales pipeline through proactive customer engagement and market development efforts.
• Strengthen and expand partnerships with distributors, system integrators, machine builders, and strategic channel partners.
• Conduct regular business assessments with channel partners to foster opportunity development and revenue enhancement.
• Assist in partner training, product education, lead generation initiatives, and collaborative sales efforts.
• Identify and onboard new channel partners as needed.
• Cultivate executive and engineering-level relationships with key customer accounts.
• Act as the primary liaison for regional customer opportunities, quotations, negotiations, and issue resolution.
• Collaborate with Application Engineering, Service, Marketing, and Operations teams to ensure effective project execution and customer satisfaction.
• Re-engage inactive accounts and broaden business within existing strategic customers.
• Create precise sales forecasts and maintain pipeline visibility utilizing Salesforce CRM.
• Oversee opportunities from lead generation to project specification, quotation, purchase order, and implementation.
• Draft customer proposals, pricing suggestions, and business cases within designated authority levels.
• Monitor territory performance, activity metrics, and key performance indicators for management review.
• Represent DENSO Robotics at industry trade exhibitions, customer events, automation conferences, technical seminars, and industry association gatherings.
• Stay informed on market trends, competitive actions, emerging technologies, and customer needs.
• Identify new applications for DENSO industrial robots, SCARA robots, and collaborative robotic products.
• Relay market needs and opportunities to DENSO global product and management teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or a related field, or a combination of education and relevant experience.
• A minimum of 5-8 years of proven successful sales experience in Robotics, Industrial Automation, Factory Automation, Machine Vision, Motion Control, Industrial Software, Capital Equipment, or similar technologies.
• Demonstrated history of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
• Proven experience in developing new business opportunities and navigating complex sales cycles.
• Strong understanding of industrial sales channels, which include distributors, system integrators, machine builders, OEMs, and direct end-user customers.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
• Excellent organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple priorities independently.
• Willingness to travel extensively within the Southeast territory.
• Experience in selling industrial robots, collaborative robots (cobots), automation systems, machine vision systems, or related technological solutions.
• Familiarity with Salesforce CRM or comparable customer relationship management platforms.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and automation applications such as material handling, machine tending, assembly, packaging, palletizing, inspection, and pick-and-place systems.
• Experience supporting strategic industries such as Medical Devices, Pharmaceuticals, Electronics, Food & Beverage, Logistics, or Automotive Manufacturing.
• Must reside in the Southeastern US: TN, KY, MS, AL, GA, NC, SC, or FL; proximity to a major airport is preferred.
