This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Identify, pursue, and secure new business within a designated territory.
• Seek out new logos, greenfield opportunities, and underrepresented accounts through cold outreach, site visits, referrals, and networking.
• Generate a pipeline and advance deals with urgency and personal responsibility.
• Facilitate value-driven, outcome-oriented sales discussions.
• Implement territory and account strategies.
• Offer tactical insights to Strategic Account Managers regarding strategic site-level accounts.
• Collaborate with Inside Sales Representatives to ensure aftermarket coverage and a seamless customer experience.
• Concentrate on machine sales and associated aftermarket opportunities while utilizing ISRs for parts and transactional assistance.
• Identify, qualify, and advance prospects through the complete sales process.
• Navigate objections, steer through complex purchasing procedures, and compete against established competitors.
• Propel deal momentum through customer interaction, clear next steps, and proactive follow-up.
• Maintain precise opportunity management, forecasting, and activity logging in the company CRM.
• Take ownership of territory performance with well-defined growth strategies and measurable outcomes.
• Achieve KPIs such as new account acquisition, new logo revenue, pipeline velocity, activity metrics, and competitive win rate.
• Candidates must reside in the state of Illinois.
• A Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) from a four-year college or university in Business Administration, Engineering, Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering, Marketing, or a related field; or four to five years of relevant experience in technical sales, business development, or industrial manufacturing environments; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Over 5 years of experience in an outside B2B field sales position, ideally in a technical, capital equipment, or industrial machinery sales setting.
• Experience in the plastics injection molding and/or extrusion industry is a plus.
• Proven ability to identify needs, stimulate demand, navigate objections, negotiate, and close deals.
• Skill in delivering engaging customer presentations and clearly conveying Milacron’s value proposition.
• Strong knowledge of Milacron injection molding machines, retrofit & rebuild, and service offerings.
• Awareness of industry trends, competitive dynamics, and customer purchasing behaviors.
• Willingness to travel 50-75% and frequently drive within the region.
• Comfort with cold calling, visiting plants, and seeking out new accounts.
• Experience in opportunity management, forecasting, and activity tracking within a company CRM.
