This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +2 more states.
• Act as a representative for Ultragenyx within the rare disease community while advocating for Dojolvi, Fayuvi, and Genglycos treatments.
• Take ownership of the territory business, concentrating on impact and territory analysis.
• Enhance patient diagnosis and care through education for healthcare professionals (HCPs), inform them about approved products, and assist in treatment fulfillment.
• Cultivate and maintain business relationships with HCPs, Registered Dieticians, Genetic Counselors, Pharmacists, and related support personnel.
• Establish strong connections with both internal and external stakeholders to facilitate agreement and decision-making.
• Create and uphold a strategic territory business plan that encompasses academic centers, community targets, priority specialties, opportunities, and challenges.
• Identify and execute daily and weekly travel schedules and call plans for key accounts.
• Implement programs, impactful in-services, and educational opportunities within the territory.
• Fulfill compliance, product, and disease-state training requirements, manage Veeva administration, complete monthly expense reports, and handle other administrative tasks.
• A Bachelor's Degree is mandatory.
• Minimum of 8 years of professional experience, including over 5 years in the healthcare/biotech sector, with at least 3 years of field-based experience in account management, sales, and/or field reimbursement.
• Proven history of success in field sales.
• Strong strategic business acumen along with collaborative leadership skills with internal stakeholders such as marketing, medical, clinical operations, and patient services.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively present clinical and scientific information.
• Willingness to travel approximately 50–60% of the time, including overnight trips as necessary.
• Residency in the designated territory: Illinois, Kansas, and Missouri is required.
• Experience in rare diseases is preferred.
• A background in successfully launching biopharma or pharmaceutical products is also preferred.
