Field Sales Merchandiser

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.

📋 Description

• Cultivate and manage over 60 grocery retail partnerships within a designated territory exceeding 100 miles.

• Identify optimal in-store placements for Wonderful brand products through the creation and relocation of displays.

• Rotate and stock approved products during each grocery store visit.

• Ensure schematic accuracy during re-merchandising efforts, grand openings, and store remodels.

• Build rapport with retailer staff and supervisors to enhance account engagement.

• Promote, upsell, and sustain retail distribution of authorized products within the assigned stores.

• Capture data-gathering objectives utilizing company-issued handheld devices.

• Implement, sustain, and oversee company marketing strategies and initiatives.

• Manage POS and coupon/tie-in programs effectively.

• Provide daily chain-specific information and updates.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated success in retail sales, particularly in promoting grocery products, ideally within the food and beverage sector.

• Ability to establish partnerships with store and produce managers.

• Skill in presenting persuasive arguments to store management for product display and purchase decisions against competitors.

• Previous experience managing a large store territory with an understanding of daily travel requirements.

• Strong selling, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.

• Detail-oriented, goal-focused, and capable of problem-solving while working autonomously.

• Excellent interpersonal and time management capabilities.

• Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel.

• Clean driving record; a background check will be conducted.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

• Availability to work early mornings starting at 7 AM.

• Required travel to Los Angeles, CA, 3–4 times annually, as permitted by the company.

• Must reside within the established territory boundaries; occasional overnight travel may be necessary based on territory needs.
