This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio, +1 more state.
• Promote the organization's products and services to distributors, contractors, engineers, and end users in Northern Texas by reaching out to existing clients and cultivating new prospects.
• Identify and pursue new accounts within the designated territory.
• Recognize key decision-makers within projects and organize effective sales meetings.
• Maintain a sales opportunity pipeline for the upcoming 6 to 12 months.
• Facilitate PLP product field trials with clients and relevant PLP personnel.
• Organize product demonstrations across the territory.
• Aid in the management and development of Manufacturers’ Representatives.
• Assist in the management and growth of Distributors/Wholesalers.
• Explore new product opportunities with customers.
• Collaborate with PLP Product Management and R&E to examine market or product opportunities and challenges.
• Keep track of territory expenses and PLP product sample requests.
• Provide sales forecasts at least once a year or more frequently if requested.
• Understand customer product applications and relevant markets, and compete effectively through technical product differentiation.
• Create and execute an annual sales plan utilizing a team-oriented approach.
• Address customer complaints related to PLP products or services.
• Deliver marketing messages through Teams, webinars, or in-person events.
• Assemble PLP products in the office, training room, or outdoor environments to showcase aerial or underground installations.
• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field of study, and/or relevant experience.
• 5 to 10 years of experience in outside sales, showcasing a progression in responsibility and sales achievements.
• Ideally based in the Dallas Fort Worth area or Northern Texas.
• Must hold a valid driver’s license and adhere to PLP’s vehicle allowance program.
• Capability to manage manufacturer representatives.
• Self-motivated individual who can work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to establish and nurture strategic business relationships.
• Understanding of the dynamics involved in selling to the Broadband Retail channel.
• Comfortable with public speaking.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the capacity to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Mechanical aptitude is preferred.
• Must maintain a home office.
• Willingness to travel at least 75% of the time.
