Field Sales Consultant, Interiors

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Promote The Home Depot's range of interior and exterior products and services to customers.

• Conduct sales visits primarily at customers' residences and engage in trade shows and industry events.

• Evaluate customer requirements and provide personalized product recommendations.

• Create and negotiate customized pricing proposals.

• Present warranty details and financing alternatives.

• Finalize sales contracts and necessary documentation.

• Utilize industry-standard measurement techniques to ensure compliance with installation specifications.

• Actively seek and acquire new clients within assigned Home Depot locations and during industry events.

• Travel to designated stores, nurture local relationships, educate store personnel on HDIS offerings, and enhance awareness of HDIS programs.

• Seek referrals and build rapport with store management and associates.

• Participate in sales and store team meetings to refine sales strategies and expand knowledge of HDIS products.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

• High school diploma or GED is required.

• Minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience.

• Previous experience in in-home or virtual sales is preferred.

• Experience in the home improvement sector is a plus.

• Prior success in lead generation is desirable.

• Proficient in computer applications, including email, iPad, apps, and various technologies.

• Leadership experience is not a prerequisite.

• Must be able to stand or walk continuously, or regularly lift, handle, or carry items weighing 8–20 pounds.

• Overnight travel is typically required about 5% of the time.
