Field Sales Consultant, Home Services, Interiors

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Promote and sell The Home Depot's interior and exterior products and services to customers.

• Carry out outside sales visits mainly at customers' residences and engage in trade shows and industry events.

• Evaluate customer requirements and provide personalized product recommendations.

• Create and negotiate customized pricing quotes.

• Present warranty details and financing alternatives.

• Complete sales contracts, documentation, and product measurements to adhere to installation standards.

• Identify potential customers both inside and outside assigned Home Depot locations.

• Visit assigned stores, foster local relationships, educate store associates, and promote HDIS initiatives.

• Pursue referrals and cultivate connections with store management and staff.

• Participate in sales and store team meetings to enhance sales techniques and gain insights into HDIS products.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.

• Must have legal authorization to work in the United States.

• High school diploma and/or GED knowledge, skills, and abilities typically achieved through completion.

• A minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience.

• Capability to travel to customer residences, assigned stores, and industry events.

• Must be able to stand or walk continuously and regularly lift, handle, or carry weights between 8–20 pounds.

• Previous in-home or virtual sales experience is preferred.

• Experience in the home improvement industry is preferred.

• Demonstrated success in lead generation is preferred.

• Proficient in computer and application skills, including email, iPad, apps, and various technologies.

• Previous leadership experience is not required.
