Field Sales Consultant – Exterior

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Promote and sell the Company's exterior and interior products and services to customers.

• Conduct sales visits primarily at customer residences and participate in trade shows and industry events.

• Evaluate customer needs and provide personalized product recommendations.

• Create and negotiate customized pricing quotes.

• Present warranty details and financing options to customers.

• Complete sales contracts, documentation, and necessary measurements utilizing industry-standard practices.

• Seek out and acquire new clients within assigned THD stores and at industry events.

• Travel to designated stores, nurture local relationships, educate store associates about HDIS offerings, and promote HDIS programs.

• Generate leads for new customers and pursue referrals.

• Cultivate and sustain relationships with store management and staff.

• Participate in sales and team meetings to enhance sales strategies and increase knowledge of HDIS products.

• Report directly to the Sales Manager; no direct reports.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.

• Must possess legal authorization to work in the United States.

• A minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience is required.

• Must be able to stand or walk continuously and regularly lift, handle, or carry materials or equipment weighing between 8–20 pounds.

• Typically requires overnight travel 5% of the time.

• Preferred: experience in in-home or virtual sales.

• Preferred: background in the home improvement industry.

• Preferred: successful experience in lead generation.

• Proficient in computer applications, including email, iPad, apps, and various technologies.

• Minimum educational requirement: high school diploma and/or GED.

• No prior leadership experience is necessary.
