This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Formulate and implement a territory strategy that encompasses priority segments, target accounts, client objectives, sales goals, and activities.
• Identify potential clients, assess their needs, present tailored solutions, handle objections, secure commitments, and promote repeat purchases utilizing CORE’s Seven Step sales methodology.
• Develop and nurture a portfolio of key operator accounts.
• Recognize decision-makers, business needs, competitive landscape, account potential, and outline next steps.
• Convert approved client and group-level initiatives into actionable operator-level sales strategies.
• Articulate product features, advantages, applications, and operational or financial value within the boundaries of approved claims and program guidelines.
• Keep a qualified pipeline with clearly defined stages, next actions, anticipated volume, risks, and target conversion timelines.
• Implement corrective measures when results fall short of expectations.
• Ensure accurate Salesforce documentation for customer profiles, contacts, activities, opportunities, samples, commitments, competitive insights, and results.
• Leverage sales and market data to enhance targeting, call planning, forecasting, and business updates.
• Collaborate with Regional Managers, sales leadership, client teams, culinary resources, distributors, and other stakeholders.
• Prioritize accounts, organize travel, sequence opportunities, select approved sales resources, and address routine customer issues.
• Represent CORE and its clients at customer meetings, food exhibitions, vendor fairs, training sessions, and industry events.
• Distribute market intelligence and effective sales techniques, and assist with onboarding, collaborative selling, and team initiatives.
• Manage time, travel, Everlance, samples, sales materials, expenses, and company resources efficiently.
• Achieve or surpass designated sales, case-volume, distribution, conversion, and client goals.
• Maintain an up-to-date territory plan, effective call schedule, qualified pipeline, and dependable forecasts.
• Communicate opportunities, risks, and support needs while ensuring timely and accurate Salesforce documentation.
• A college degree or equivalent experience in foodservice sales, restaurant operations, hospitality, account management, or a closely related field.
• A minimum of two years of experience in independently managing a sales territory, account portfolio, or a similar book of business is preferred.
• Proven track record in full-cycle selling, needs-based presentations, objection handling, securing customer commitments, and achieving measurable sales results.
• Proficiency in CRM systems, Microsoft Office, Teams, and relevant selling and reporting tools.
• Capability to interpret sales reports, prioritize opportunities, manage a pipeline, and communicate a data-driven forecast.
• Experience in foodservice sales or relevant sales involving client programs, distributors, buying groups, GPOs, or contract-managed accounts.
• A valid driver’s license and a driving record that meets company standards.
• Ability to utilize Everlance and submit mileage and expenses by established deadlines.
• Willingness to travel extensively throughout the assigned territory, up to 250 miles daily.
• Ability to travel overnight for events.
• Capability to stand and remain active for extended periods, up to four hours at a time.
• Ability to sustain physical activity over an 8–10+ hour workday in the field or at a food exhibition.
• Ability to walk moderate distances and navigate restaurants, kitchens, storage areas, loading zones, stairs, and uneven surfaces.
• Capability to lift and carry product samples, equipment, booths, and sales materials, typically weighing up to 30–40 pounds.
• Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, reach overhead, and maneuver in tight or active environments.
• Ability to work in foodservice settings exposed to heat, cold, wet or slippery floors, and confined or high-traffic areas.
• Required to have close, distance, peripheral, and depth perception.
