This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.
• Create and implement a territory strategy that includes priority segments, target accounts, client objectives, sales targets, and activities.
• Utilize CORE’s Seven Step sales methodology to prospect, identify needs, present solutions, handle objections, secure commitments, and encourage repeat purchases.
• Develop and sustain a portfolio of key operator accounts.
• Identify key decision-makers, business needs, competitive landscape, account potential, and subsequent steps.
• Convert approved client and group-level initiatives into operator-level selling strategies.
• Articulate product features, advantages, applications, and operational or financial value while adhering to approved claims and program guidelines.
• Maintain a qualified sales pipeline that outlines stages, next steps, anticipated volume, risks, and target conversion dates.
• Implement corrective measures when performance lags behind expectations.
• Keep timely and precise Salesforce entries for customer profiles, contacts, activities, opportunities, samples, commitments, competitive data, and outcomes.
• Leverage sales and market data to enhance targeting, call preparation, forecasting, and business updates.
• Collaborate with client Regional Managers, sales leadership, client teams, culinary resources, distributors, and other stakeholders.
• Prioritize accounts, plan travel, sequence opportunities, choose approved selling resources, and address routine customer challenges.
• Represent CORE and its clients during customer meetings, food shows, vendor fairs, training sessions, and industry events.
• Share market insights and effective sales strategies; assist with onboarding, collaborative selling, and team initiatives.
• Manage time, travel, Everlance, samples, sales materials, expenses, and company resources efficiently.
• Achieve or surpass designated sales, case-volume, distribution, conversion, and client targets.
• Keep an updated territory plan, effective call schedule, qualified pipeline, and dependable forecast.
• Showcase measurable advancements from prospecting through trial, conversion, and repeat purchases.
• Proactively communicate opportunities, risks, and support requirements while maintaining accurate Salesforce records.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in foodservice sales, restaurant operations, hospitality, account management, or a closely related field.
• A minimum of two years’ experience in independently managing a sales territory, account portfolio, or comparable business preferred.
• Proven track record of success in full-cycle selling, needs-based presentations, objection handling, customer commitments, and measurable sales outcomes.
• Proficient in CRM systems, Microsoft Office, Teams, and other designated sales and reporting tools.
• Capability to analyze sales reports, prioritize opportunities, manage a pipeline, and communicate a data-driven forecast.
• Strong written, verbal, presentation, planning, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to swiftly assess account conditions, identify opportunities, and establish trusted relationships with customers.
• Engage actively in customer discussions, partake in sales meetings, and comprehend information presented in both individual and group settings, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Experience in foodservice sales or relevant sales involving client programs, distributors, buying groups, GPOs, or contract-managed accounts.
• Valid driver’s license and a driving record that meets company standards.
• Utilize the Everlance application and submit mileage and expenses by set deadlines.
• Ability to travel extensively within the assigned territory, driving up to 250 miles per day.
• Capacity to stand and remain active for prolonged periods and work 8–10+ hours in the field or at a food show.
• Capability to walk moderate distances and navigate through restaurants, kitchens, storage areas, loading zones, stairs, and uneven surfaces.
• Ability to lift, carry, transport, set up, and dismantle materials typically weighing between 30–40 pounds.
• Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, reach overhead, and maneuver in confined or dynamic environments.
• Ability to use hands and arms to handle products, prepare samples, operate tools or equipment, drive, and present effectively.
• Capacity to work in foodservice environments with exposure to heat, cold, wet or slippery floors, and confined or high-traffic areas.
• Required to have close, distance, peripheral, and depth perception.
