This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Develop and implement territory strategies that encompass key segments, target accounts, client objectives, sales targets, and activities.
• Identify prospects, assess needs, present solutions, address objections, secure commitments, and encourage repeat purchases using CORE’s Seven Step sales methodology.
• Build and oversee a portfolio of key operator accounts.
• Adapt approved client and group-level initiatives for operator-level sales.
• Maintain a qualified sales pipeline with clearly defined stages, next steps, anticipated volume, risks, and target conversion dates.
• Keep precise Salesforce records and leverage sales and market data to enhance targeting, call planning, forecasting, and business updates.
• Collaborate with Regional Managers, sales leadership, client teams, culinary resources, distributors, and other stakeholders.
• Organize travel, prioritize accounts, select authorized sales resources, and address routine customer issues.
• Represent CORE and its clients at customer meetings, food shows, vendor fairs, training sessions, and industry events.
• Effectively manage time, travel, Everlance, samples, sales materials, expenses, and company resources.
• Achieve or surpass assigned sales, case-volume, distribution, conversion, and client objectives.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in foodservice sales, restaurant operations, hospitality, account management, or a related field.
• A minimum of two years of experience in independently managing a sales territory, account portfolio, or a similar book of business is preferred.
• Proven success with the complete sales cycle, needs-based presentations, objection handling, securing customer commitments, and achieving measurable sales results.
• Proficient in CRM systems, Microsoft Office, Teams, and designated sales and reporting tools.
• Ability to analyze sales reports, prioritize opportunities, manage a sales pipeline, and provide a data-driven forecast.
• Exceptional written, verbal, presentation, planning, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Experience in foodservice sales or relevant sales experience with client programs, distributors, buying groups, GPOs, or contract-managed accounts.
• Valid driver's license and driving record that aligns with company standards.
• Capability to utilize Everlance and submit mileage and expenses according to established deadlines.
• Ability to drive extensively, travel overnight, remain active for extended periods, navigate customer locations, lift and carry up to 30-40 pounds, and work in diverse foodservice settings.
