This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Serve as an in-office resource to address healthcare professional (HCP) inquiries regarding patient access.
• Directly engage with HCP offices within a designated geographic area.
• Respond to questions related to patient access and reimbursement for AbbVie’s immunology product line.
• Offer expertise on coverage and the common access and reimbursement challenges that impact AbbVie immunology offerings.
• Inform HCPs about patient support programs and the tools and services available for access and reimbursement.
• Provide education on product-specific acquisition and access options, including specialty pharmacy networks, specialty distribution, and white-bagging support.
• Share information about resources available to resolve access issues.
• Offer local insights into national and regional payer policies, payer challenges, coding changes, and claims submission procedures.
• Coordinate with AbbVie’s Access and Reimbursement support center regarding prescription statuses and program eligibility.
• Report payer trends for approved products to Patient Services and Market Access account management teams.
• Build and sustain relationships with providers within the assigned territory.
• Stay updated on managed care, reimbursement, and policy developments.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in immunology, particularly in Market Access, Payer Account Management, or Access and Reimbursement.
• Deep understanding of technical payer policy processes, systems, and the requirements for coverage, coding, and payment for specialty medications.
• Knowledge of the rules, regulations, and risks linked to reimbursement support services.
• Strong comprehension of coding and billing requirements at both national and regional levels across various care settings.
• Thorough understanding of Medicare Parts A, B, C, and D, along with the associated reimbursement dynamics.
• Familiarity with drug acquisition and dispensing in immunology specialty biologics, including Buy and Bill, specialty pharmacies, and specialty distributors.
• Insight into access and reimbursement support service centers and compliant interaction practices.
• Exceptional territory and account management abilities.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Valid driver's license is necessary.
• Preferred: 5 or more years of industry experience in access and reimbursement or account management.
• Preferred: Significant experience in educating others on payer processes and access issues related to specialty medicines.
• Preferred: Proven track record of leadership in the current position.
