This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Act as the primary field-based leader for education, assistance, and resolution of issues related to patient access to J&J Immunology therapies.
• Dedicate up to 50% of your time on-site with healthcare providers to evaluate their educational needs.
• Inform healthcare providers about product coverage, prior authorizations, appeals, reimbursement processes, claims submissions, procedures, and payer coding requirements.
• Collaborate with sales representatives, key account managers, managed care colleagues, and other field support teams.
• Urgently address critical patient access and affordability challenges.
• Deliver field-based reimbursement and access support, education, and innovative problem-solving.
• Establish strong, trust-based relationships with customers in assigned Immunology accounts.
• Oversee territory logistics, routing, and account business planning.
• Stay informed about national, regional, local, and account market dynamics, including coverage and coding requirements.
• Enhance understanding of hub and specialty distribution channels to better support practices and patients.
• Partner with internal J&J departments, including marketing, sales, medical science, SCG, IBG, HCC, and PECS.
• Act as a subject matter expert on access and affordability solutions across Medicare, Medicaid Managed Care, Commercial, and other payer plans.
• Conduct business in compliance with ethical and legal standards and complete required training.
• Anticipate shifts in product coverage, access knowledge, marketplace conditions, and stakeholder practices.
• Tailor resources and messaging for healthcare providers and staff within the evolving healthcare ecosystem.
• Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in healthcare or business/public administration.
• At least 5 years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience in Account Management and/or Reimbursement within hospital and/or provider office environments.
• Proven expertise with pharmacy and medical/buy & bill benefits, coding, and billing.
• Experience in reimbursement or relevant managed care, including revenue cycle, buy-and-bill, prior authorization, coding, and appeals processes.
• Ability to build relationships, collaborate, and influence within a matrix organization.
• Strong problem-solving skills to navigate complex access scenarios and identify timely, effective solutions.
• Experience with patient support HUB services is preferred.
• A valid US driver’s license and a driving record that meets company standards.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
• Permanent residence within the designated territory is required.
• Experience in the immunology disease state is preferred.
• An advanced degree and/or relevant certifications in prior authorization and/or billing and coding are preferred.
• Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and private payer initiatives impacting pharmaceutical and biotechnology product reimbursement.
• Familiarity with Salesforce.com CRM, Microsoft Word, and Excel is preferred.
