This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Louisiana, +1 more state.
• Oversee a designated territory providing support for reimbursement and patient services related to a specific medication.
• Aid physician offices with Benefit Investigation, Prior Authorization, Claims Assistance, and Appeals processes.
• Train office personnel on payer landscapes and available services through remote interactions and in-person training sessions.
• Cultivate relationships with physician offices and representatives from manufacturers.
• Deliver on-site and on-demand educational sessions, such as Lunch and Learns and Dinner presentations.
• Provide education on benefit investigations, prior authorizations, support center services, Medicare and commercial coverage, and patient communication methods.
• Offer reimbursement support that encompasses case management, billing and coding, claims submission, specialty pharmacy, medical benefit interpretation, medical necessity, copay assistance, and patient assistance programs.
• Collaborate with case managers on various cases and escalations.
• Schedule appointments, conduct outbound calls to targeted offices, and assist with backlog casework.
• Communicate with physicians and manufacturer representatives to exchange patient- and provider-specific information.
• Document all interactions and activities in the FRM CRM and hub system.
• Monitor territory and program performance, reporting trends to management and clients.
• Research and compile information on providers and manufacturer representatives for reimbursement databases.
• Develop facility databases for new providers in the FRM CRM.
• Travel frequently to meet client expectations and coordinate accounts.
• Candidates must reside within the St. Louis, MO or New Orleans, LA region.
• A 4-year degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience is required.
• A minimum of 4 years of experience in healthcare-related reimbursement is necessary.
• Strong background in medical reimbursement, particularly with Buy & Bill and/or Specialty Pharmacy.
• Experience in the healthcare industry, including insurance verification, prior authorizations, and/or claims adjudication.
• Previous experience in a physician’s office or clinic is preferred.
• Familiarity with Medicare and commercial insurance coverage is essential.
• Capability to deliver and document benefit investigation outcomes, providing regular status updates.
• Proven experience and skills in presentations.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities alongside strong organizational skills.
• Proficiency in computer use, including PowerPoint and experience with web meetings.
• Willingness to travel 80% of the time (approximately four days per week) by car or airplane.
• A valid driver's license with a clean driving record/MVR is required.
• Capability to work remotely from home and manage prolonged periods of sitting or keyboard work.
• Previous field experience, knowledge of specialty pharmacy, and account management experience are beneficial.
