Field Property Claims Adjuster

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Perform virtual and on-site assessments at the residences of policyholders.

• Evaluate property damage, ascertain liability, gauge the extent of loss, and negotiate equitable settlements.

• Utilize claims handling software, a company vehicle, and a laptop to assess claims-related damage and generate estimates in a paperless setting.

• Identify and report potential subrogation opportunities.

• Report incidents involving theft, fraud, or arson to the relevant state and industry authorities.

• Conduct duties independently, with a direct impact on management outcomes.

• Professionally represent the company in all public interactions.

• Interact with policyholders, claimants, agents, witnesses, contractors, law enforcement, fraud and arson investigators, attorneys, medical professionals, and other pertinent parties.

• Negotiate settlements with policyholders to resolve claims.

• Advocate for safety and adhere to company safety and ergonomic protocols.

• Travel away from home for CAT deployments, typically lasting 2-3 weeks; commit to 1–3 CAT deployments annually.

• Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent is mandatory.

• Strong customer service experience, ideally in a retail setting.

• Experience in construction or insurance is highly desirable and preferred.

• Exceptional oral and written communication abilities.

• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.

• Competence with smartphones and their applications.

• Willingness to learn about insurance policies and property damage.

• Valid driver's license is required.

• Must be bondable.

• Final candidates will be subject to a Motor Vehicle Record background check.

• Must reside within the South Tarrant, Johnson, Ellis & Kaufman Counties area.

• Must be willing and capable of climbing ladders and working on rooftops multiple times throughout the day.

• Must be comfortable working in small, confined spaces such as attics and crawlspaces.

• Must achieve a minimum passing score on all claims training assessments.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

• Proficient in speaking, reading, writing, and key entering in English.
