This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
β’ Perform virtual and on-site assessments at the residences of policyholders.
β’ Evaluate property damage, ascertain liability, gauge the extent of loss, and negotiate equitable settlements.
β’ Utilize claims handling software, a company vehicle, and a laptop to assess claims-related damage and generate estimates in a paperless setting.
β’ Identify and report potential subrogation opportunities.
β’ Report incidents involving theft, fraud, or arson to the relevant state and industry authorities.
β’ Conduct duties independently, with a direct impact on management outcomes.
β’ Professionally represent the company in all public interactions.
β’ Interact with policyholders, claimants, agents, witnesses, contractors, law enforcement, fraud and arson investigators, attorneys, medical professionals, and other pertinent parties.
β’ Negotiate settlements with policyholders to resolve claims.
β’ Advocate for safety and adhere to company safety and ergonomic protocols.
β’ Travel away from home for CAT deployments, typically lasting 2-3 weeks; commit to 1β3 CAT deployments annually.
β’ Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.
β’ High School diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
β’ Strong customer service experience, ideally in a retail setting.
β’ Experience in construction or insurance is highly desirable and preferred.
β’ Exceptional oral and written communication abilities.
β’ Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
β’ Competence with smartphones and their applications.
β’ Willingness to learn about insurance policies and property damage.
β’ Valid driver's license is required.
β’ Must be bondable.
β’ Final candidates will be subject to a Motor Vehicle Record background check.
β’ Must reside within the South Tarrant, Johnson, Ellis & Kaufman Counties area.
β’ Must be willing and capable of climbing ladders and working on rooftops multiple times throughout the day.
β’ Must be comfortable working in small, confined spaces such as attics and crawlspaces.
β’ Must achieve a minimum passing score on all claims training assessments.
β’ Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
β’ Proficient in speaking, reading, writing, and key entering in English.
