This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Missouri.
β’ Perform virtual and in-person investigations at the residences of policyholders.
β’ Evaluate property damage, establish liability, assess losses, and negotiate equitable settlements.
β’ Utilize claims processing software, a company vehicle, and a laptop to assess damages and generate estimates in a paperless setting.
β’ Analyze and document potential subrogation opportunities.
β’ Report incidents of theft, fraud, or arson to the relevant state and industry authorities.
β’ Operate independently with responsibilities that directly affect management outcomes.
β’ Represent the company in a professional manner during public engagements.
β’ Interact with policyholders, claimants, agents, witnesses, contractors, law enforcement, investigators, attorneys, and medical professionals.
β’ Negotiate settlements with policyholders regarding claims.
β’ Advocate for safety and adhere to company safety and ergonomic protocols.
β’ Travel away from home for catastrophe assignments, typically lasting 23 days.
β’ A High School diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
β’ Exceptional customer service experience, ideally in a retail setting.
β’ Experience in construction or insurance is highly preferred.
β’ Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
β’ Proficient in computer applications: MS Word, Excel, Outlook.
β’ Comfortable using smartphones and various applications.
β’ Willingness to learn about insurance policies and property damage.
β’ Must possess a valid driver's license and be bondable.
β’ Final candidates will undergo a Motor Vehicle Record background check.
β’ Ability and willingness to climb ladders and work on rooftops multiple times daily.
β’ Must be able and willing to work in small, confined spaces like attics and crawlspaces.
β’ Achieve a minimum passing score on all claims training examinations.
β’ Proficient in speaking, reading, and writing in English.
β’ Candidates must reside in the Greater Springfield, MO area.
β’ Willingness to commit to 1β3 catastrophe deployments annually.
β’ Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
