Field Inventory Analyst – Aortic

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Implement inventory strategies and initiatives for the US Aortic field to meet Service, Inventory, Scrap, Obsolescence, Gains and Losses (SOGL), and Freight objectives.

• Serve as the district representative between field staff/customers and Global Supply Chain, Distribution, Customer Care, Marketing, Logistics, and IT.

• Align inventory strategies with both internal and external business stakeholders.

• Assist in inventory repositioning for urgent cases, field order fulfillment, management of short-dated products, stagnant inventory, cycle counts, and corrections in inventory accuracy.

• Collaborate with District Service Managers, Clinical Specialists, Sales Representatives, and District Managers regarding logistics for coverage.

• Mobilize inventory in response to supply constraints within the designated district.

• Work closely with Customer Care Supply Chain Analysts and Field Inventory Program Managers.

• Analyze data, escalate issues, create business cases and alternatives, and drive action among stakeholders.

• Communicate and promote inventory management initiatives to sales teams.

• Oversee and sustain inventory levels at customer accounts.

• Perform inventory cycle counts for customer accounts.

• Identify, segregate, return, and exchange expired or short-dated units.

• Address discrepancies in inventory levels at customer accounts.

• Educate customers on inventory management protocols and requirements.

• Support customer order fulfillment and secure signed Consignment Agreements and Inventory Schedules.

• Provide regular evening and weekend on-call support to address critical business needs.

• Travel locally on a regular basis, including overnight or occasional flights.

• Comply with FDA regulations, quality standards, training requirements, SOPs, and work instructions.

• Stay updated on training and product knowledge.

• Suggest and implement process enhancements.

• Meet deadlines, communicate proactively, and adjust expectations as necessary.

• Receive cross-training for the cardiovascular clinical specialist position.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree is required.

• At least 2 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with no experience required.

• Experience in inventory management within a supply chain or distribution setting.

• Self-driven; capable of working with minimal supervision while traveling to key customer locations.

• Proficient in systems such as Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, Salesforce, and mStar.

• Must be able to travel overnight on short notice when necessary.

• A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.

• Certification in Six Sigma Yellow, Green, or Black Belt is preferred.

• APICS CPIM/CSCP Certification is also preferred.

• Proven skills in negotiation and influence management.

• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

• Demonstrated capability to produce consistent, detail-oriented, high-quality work.

• Ability to execute tasks logically, calmly, and efficiently in a high-pressure environment.

• Solid understanding of supply chain-related regulatory requirements.

• Experience in a regulated environment, preferably within the medical device industry.

• For degrees obtained outside of the United States, a degree meeting 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is necessary.

• Must have unrestricted U.S. work authorization at the time of hire and maintain it throughout employment.

• Willingness to support overnight and long-distance travel to the SEC District when required (25–50%).
