Field Engineer, Level 4

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Act as the Program Office representative at RSR locations while managing an intensive multi-site schedule.

• Function as a subject matter expert on RSR for project, implementation, and engineering leaders within the program office.

• Engage in final planning and site readiness, which includes creating site implementation plans and conducting necessary site visits.

• Offer onsite consultation for installation and construction related to implementation and disposition activities.

• Guide contractors on requirements derived from design schematics and the statement of work.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree with over 8 years of relevant experience, or a Master's Degree with more than 6 years of relevant experience; alternatively, additional relevant experience may be accepted in place of a degree.

• Proficiency in the research, design, and development of electrical equipment and systems.

• Completion of formal Radar training at the FAA Academy.

• Previous Radar certification authority at one or more airports.

• Several years of practical field experience with one or more Radar systems in the active National Airspace System (NAS).

• In-depth understanding of FAA operational risk management practices.

• Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a small team while adhering to a demanding installation timeline.

• Proven dedication to maintaining high-quality standards during RSR implementation.

• Professional representation of Leidos to FAA clients.

• Established knowledge of FAA construction and installation standards at RSR locations.

• Willingness to travel extensively; travel is anticipated to be 75% of the time.
