Field Engineer – Level 4

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Act as the representative for the RSR Program Office at RSR locations and manage a robust multi-site schedule.

• Function as an RSR subject matter expert for project, implementation, and engineering leaders within the program office.

• Engage in final planning and site preparations, which includes crafting site implementation plans and conducting necessary site visits.

• Offer on-site installation and construction consultation for implementation and disposition tasks.

• Guide contractors on requirements based on design specifications and the statement of work.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree with over 8 years of relevant experience, or a Master’s Degree with more than 6 years of relevant experience; additional years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

• Proven experience in the research, design, and development of electrical equipment and systems.

• Completion of formal Radar training at the FAA Academy.

• Previous Radar certification authority at one or more airports.

• Several years of practical field experience with one or more Radar systems in the active National Airspace System (NAS).

• In-depth understanding of FAA operational risk management practices.

• Capability to work independently and as part of a small team while adhering to a demanding installation schedule.

• A demonstrated commitment to high-quality maintenance practices during RSR implementation.

• Professional demeanor while representing Leidos to FAA clients.

• Proven knowledge of FAA construction and installation standards at RSR sites.

• High travel availability, with travel anticipated to be 75% of the time.
