Field Engineer I – Anesthesia, Maternal Infant Care, Diagnostic Cardiology

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Louisiana.

📋 Description

• Conduct preventative maintenance, installations, troubleshooting, and repairs on Anesthesia, Maternal Infant Care, and Diagnostic Cardiology medical equipment.

• Service medical devices within hospitals or healthcare systems to guarantee optimal healthcare service delivery.

• Build and maintain customer relationships.

• Communicate promptly with customers and address issues with appropriate follow-up to enhance customer satisfaction.

• Follow company policies, procedures, hospital protocols, regulatory standards, and compliance requirements.

• Document all tasks performed, including parts ordering.


⛳️ Requirements

• Associate’s degree, Bachelor’s degree, military education, participation in the formal GE Healthcare Biomedical or Field Engineer Services Internship, or Military Externship program; OR High School Diploma/GED with 4+ years of experience in servicing electronic equipment.

• A valid Driver’s License is mandatory.

• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is essential.

• GE HealthCare will not sponsor employment visas for this position.

• Successful completion of GEHC’s standard background check, including a post-offer drug test, is required.

• Compliance with customer access policies, including necessary immunizations and additional drug tests or background checks as required.

• Experience in Anesthesia, Maternal Infant Care, and Diagnostic Cardiology is an advantage.

• Capability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 35 lbs. without assistance.

• Ability to frequently bend, stoop, twist, climb, crouch, squat, kneel, crawl, sit, and stand for extended periods.

• Ability to reach at, above, and below shoulder level; flex and extend neck; and demonstrate good hand and finger dexterity.

• Availability for after-hours and/or a rotating on-call schedule, including weekends.
