Field Engineer 4

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Act as the representative for the RSR Program Office at various RSR locations and manage a comprehensive multi-site schedule.

• Function as a subject matter expert for the RSR Program Office, assisting project, implementation, and engineering leaders.

• Engage in final planning and site readiness, which includes creating site implementation plans and conducting necessary site visits.

• Offer onsite consultation for installation and construction during implementation and disposition activities.

• Guide contractors on requirements derived from design schematics and the statement of work.

• Assist with installation and disposition tasks for the RSR Program Office at major airports.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's Degree coupled with 8+ years of pertinent experience, or a Master's Degree with 6+ years of relevant experience; alternatively, additional years of pertinent experience may be accepted in place of a degree.

• Proficient in research, design, and development of electrical equipment and systems.

• Completion of formal Radar training at the FAA Academy is mandatory.

• Prior Radar certification authority at one or more airports is required.

• Several years of hands-on field experience with one or more Radar systems within the active National Airspace System (NAS).

• Extensive knowledge of FAA operational risk management practices.

• Capability to work independently and as part of a small team while adhering to a demanding installation schedule.

• Proven dedication to high-quality maintenance practices during RSR implementation.

• Exhibit professionalism while representing Leidos to FAA clients.

• Demonstrated understanding of FAA construction and installation standards at RSR sites.

• Previous experience as a senior FAA radar specialist is preferred, with multi-year responsibilities for radar systems in the operational NAS.
