Field Controls Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Travel to customer job sites—averaging up to 75%—to diagnose and resolve HVAC and control system issues.

• Offer technical assistance to Field Service Technicians both on-site and remotely.

• Analyze control programs, HMI systems, and unit/system interfaces for troubleshooting.

• Identify and rectify mechanical, electrical, and control-related problems.

• Contribute to new product development and testing at Munters facilities.

• Assist in the assembly of prototypes and provide constructive feedback to Engineering and R&D.

• Engage in Kaizen and cross-functional improvement initiatives.

• Aid in continuous improvement and cost-reduction efforts.

• Work autonomously while collaborating with Service, Engineering, R&D, and Operations teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• 2–4 years of relevant industry experience or equivalent trade school/certification.

• Proven experience in troubleshooting HVAC equipment and control systems.

• Capability to read and interpret electrical diagrams.

• Familiarity with HVAC components such as compressors, valves, fans, and heat exchangers.

• Experience handling equipment related to sheet metal, piping, valves, and heat exchangers.

• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently.

• Willingness and capacity to travel extensively—up to 75%.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and operate in dynamic industrial/customer environments.

• Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screening and background check, as required for the position.
