Field Controls Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Visit customer job sites to identify and resolve HVAC and controls challenges.

• Offer technical assistance to Field Service Technicians both remotely and on-site.

• Diagnose issues with controls programs, HMI systems, and unit/system interfaces.

• Assist in the development and testing of new products at Munters facilities.

• Help with prototype constructions and provide insights to Engineering and R&D teams.

• Engage in Kaizen and cross-functional continuous improvement initiatives.

• Support efforts aimed at cost reduction and product enhancements.

• Deliver technical knowledge to Field Service and other internal groups.

• Operate independently while collaborating with Engineering, R&D, Service, and Operations teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in troubleshooting HVAC equipment and controls systems.

• Familiarity with HVAC components, including compressors, valves, fans, and heat exchangers.

• Strong mechanical skills and problem-solving capabilities.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work autonomously.

• Experience with ERP/MRP or 3D CAD systems is advantageous.

• Preferred experience in designing or working with complex assemblies, piping, valves, and heat exchangers.

• 3–5 years of industry experience and a Mechanical Engineering degree is preferred; equivalent experience may be accepted.

• Willingness to travel to customer locations as needed.

• Capability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform in dynamic industrial environments.

• Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screening and background check, as required for the position.
