Field CISO – Client Advisory

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Missouri, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Act as a reliable security consultant for clients, translating business goals, risk appetite, and cybersecurity stance into practical security strategies.

• Collaborate with field sales teams to effectively present Optiv’s offerings to clients.

• Lead security assessments and conduct workshops.

• Create presentations, proposals, and value propositions that convey intricate technical concepts and the benefits of solutions.

• Work alongside field sales teams to identify and qualify opportunities, contributing to sales initiatives and security solution projects.

• Establish and nurture relationships with CISOs, CIOs, CTOs, and security teams.

• Participate in industry security events and take the lead in local chapters whenever possible.

• Contribute to thought leadership by creating content such as blog posts, white papers, threat updates, solution architectures, and conference presentations.

• Stay updated on security threats, vulnerabilities, compliance obligations, frameworks, and industry best practices.

• Share security insights and knowledge with clients and internal teams.

• Provide feedback to Services and Solution development teams regarding market trends and client requirements.

• Represent Optiv at industry events and conferences to enhance brand visibility and connect with potential clients.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Security, or a related discipline.

• At least 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity, particularly in consulting, architecture, or leadership roles.

• Demonstrated experience working with enterprise clients, comprehending their security challenges, and formulating customized solutions.

• In-depth knowledge of security frameworks and standards, including NIST, ISO 27001, and SOC 2.

• Strong technical expertise in network security, cloud security, endpoint security, and incident response.

• Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal abilities, capable of engaging with both technical and executive audiences.

• Robust analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
