Field Auto Appraiser

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Engage with customers at their residences, repair facilities, or towing locations.

• Prepare estimates and assist customers through the repair or total loss procedures.

• Conduct face-to-face visits, virtual assessments, and written correspondence.

• Assess vehicle damages and work alongside body shops and service providers.

• Investigate claims through thorough damage evaluations and policy analysis.

• Interact with customers via phone, email, and video calls.

• Assess and negotiate claim settlements with customers, vendors, third-party insurers, and claimants.

• Utilize estimating tools, job aids, and settlement platforms to resolve claims effectively.

• Accurately document claims and maintain timely records in the claims management system.

• Complete around eight weeks of onboarding, including licensing when applicable, and training specific to the role.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in auto collision estimating using CCC or Mitchell software.

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Keen attention to detail with the ability to produce precise and comprehensive estimates.

• Comfortable leveraging technology and various platforms for claims processing.

• Excellent organizational skills and time management abilities.

• Valid driver's license and readiness to travel as needed.

• Capability to attend mandatory training sessions, engage in virtual learning, and complete the training program.

• Required adjusters' and/or appraisers' licenses must be acquired within 60 days of employment.

• Maintain all necessary licensing for the position, including ongoing education and state-required renewal obligations.

• Background check is mandatory.

• Must reside in Pittsburgh, PA.

• A dedicated, private workspace is required for remote work.

• Reliable internet connection with minimum speeds of 50 MB download and 5 MB upload is essential.
