This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.
• Identify, influence, and facilitate the adoption of Altera FPGA-based solutions within key customer accounts.
• Collaborate effectively with Field Sales Engineers, other Field Application Engineers (FAEs), Factory Applications Engineers, Product Marketing, and Business Development teams.
• Build and maintain customer engineering relationships to discover, develop, and enhance opportunities within assigned accounts.
• Utilize extensive knowledge of the FPGA product portfolio to drive sales in established product lines and foster growth in emerging markets.
• Clearly articulate the value proposition of Altera FPGAs and showcase optimal solutions tailored for customer applications.
• Support customers with architecture definition, solution evaluation, and the design and implementation of product requirements using FPGAs, IP, and development tools.
• Create and present product demonstrations effectively.
• Engage in on-site customer visits to assist with product design and conduct reviews.
• Ensure that customer requirements are fulfilled throughout the design process.
• Facilitate the rapid resolution of technical issues to guarantee customer satisfaction.
• Analyze data to diagnose problems, replicate errors, and resolve or escalate customer issues as necessary.
• Provide valuable feedback to manufacturing and product teams regarding product issues, future requirements, and market trends.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience as a hardware engineer.
• Proficiency in FPGA, ASIC, and/or digital design.
• Familiarity with FPGA development tools, including Quartus and Vivado.
• Experience with VHDL, Verilog, System Verilog, OpenCL, or high-level synthesis tools (HLS).
• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or a related electrical/electronic degree.
• Applicants must be eligible for any necessary U.S. export authorizations.
• A post-Bachelor’s degree is a distinguishing factor.
• Experience in technical sales, applications, technical marketing, or technical product marketing is advantageous.
• Additional industry experience in areas such as embedded SoC design, ASIC, ASSP, CPU, microcontrollers, microprocessor architecture, ARM-based processor solutions, board-level design, DSP, or signal integrity is a plus.
