This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.
• Install new coordinate measuring machines at client locations.
• Retrofit, calibrate, and validate current coordinate measuring machine installations using the latest Renishaw technology.
• Assist in the installation and integration of new products onto existing coordinate measuring machines both onsite and offsite.
• Provide technical and commercial assistance for the CGPD product line to the direct sales team and distributors.
• Investigate and resolve product-related issues for both internal and external sales teams.
• Train end users, integrators, and personnel on CGPD products.
• Develop and maintain technical support documentation for troubleshooting purposes.
• Support trade shows, exhibitions, and open house events.
• Travel domestically, usually over 75%, with occasional international travel.
• Perform additional duties as assigned or requested.
• A minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Ability to understand and apply engineering principles effectively.
• Familiarity with electronic and mechanical principles.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Proficiency in information technology.
• Competency in computer applications.
• Strong mathematical skills, including knowledge of trigonometry.
• Must be eligible to access ITAR-controlled data in compliance with U.S. export control regulations.
• Preferred experience in manufacturing, quality control, metrology, or CMM operations.
• Preferred familiarity with Renishaw’s CMM and gauging products.
• Understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
• Experience with CAD/CAM in a manufacturing or quality control setting.
• Previous internship experience related to manufacturing parts.
• Ability to identify issues and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems effectively.
• Manual dexterity and physical capability to install products in a standard production environment.
• Competent in using Windows-based computer systems.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong time management skills and a commitment to completing assigned tasks.
