Field Application Engineer, Mobile

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in China.

📋 Description

• Assist customers and partners throughout the stages of product evaluation, integration, development, testing, and production.

• Offer technical support for mobile SDK/app integration, Bluetooth connectivity, audio functionalities, and the behavior of connected devices.

• Reproduce, troubleshoot, document, and escalate customer issues across mobile, firmware, hardware, and connectivity layers.

• Collaborate closely with sales teams to facilitate customer discussions, design-in activities, and explore new business opportunities.

• Oversee customer samples, gather technical feedback, and relay insights to internal product and engineering teams.

• Review and assist with customer-facing technical documentation, integration guides, specifications, schematics, and PCB layouts as necessary.

• Travel for on-site customer assistance when required.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in Field Application Engineering, Technical Support, Customer Engineering, Solutions Engineering, Mobile Integration Engineering, or a comparable customer-facing technical role.

• Extensive experience with mobile app or mobile SDK integration.

• Strong troubleshooting abilities, including issue reproduction, root-cause analysis, debugging, documentation, and escalation.

• Capability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, explaining complex topics in a practical and customer-friendly manner.

• Proactive, self-motivated, and comfortable managing urgent customer issues and multiple priorities independently.

• Proficiency in both spoken and written Chinese and English.

• Nice to have: Knowledge of Bluetooth, BLE, audio products, hearables, wearables, or connected consumer devices.

• Nice to have: Experience with embedded systems or firmware integration.

• Nice to have: Familiarity with Jieli / JLI, Qualcomm, Bluetrum, or similar chipset platforms.

• Nice to have: Experience with hardware debugging tools, protocol analyzers, or simulation tools.

• Nice to have: Background in consumer electronics, audio devices, semiconductor platforms, or Shenzhen-based hardware supply chains.
